Vocal
Bruce started in the Prince George school music program at the age of 10. He has played Trombone in numerous groups there including Principal Trombone in the Prince George Symphony. He then moved to Vancouver to go to VCC and take music, where he played with groups at VCC, Douglas College, and UBC. During this time also played with numerous Vancouver groups including The Miller-Aires out of West Vancouver, the Arbutus club Dance Band (which became the Preservation of Swing), and the Vancouver Philharmonic Orchestra. He studied with Gordon Cherry (Vancouver Symphony), Dave Robbins (formally with Harry James) and Ian McDougal (formally with the Boss Brass) among others. Bruce has undertaken a new aspect for the band, and has started singing. He has replaced himself in the bone section to allow him to be a front man, and expanded the vocal section to 4. Bruce currently plays with James Productions, and enjoys spending time with his two boys Chace and Layn. He is writing and arranging new tunes for the band.
