These guys keep the time and lay down the bass line! This crew is key to keeping the Big Band groove going!
Jonathan Reichert: Guitar – Section Leader
Keith Gray: Piano
A skilled jazz pianist and vocalist, Keith loves to share his passion of music all over the Lower Mainland. By day, he is a busy school teacher, husband and dad to three very energetic little people. By night, you can find him performing with various musical ensembles or as a solo act. Keith holds a B.Ed from UBC and a B.Jazz (Music Education) from Capilano University. Keith is proud to perform with the Bruce James Orchestra.
George Goodall: Bass
George started on bass in various rock bands playing back-road Alberta. A native Edmontonian, George’s band ‘Footlose’ recorded ‘Leaving tomorrow for Maui’ which made it to #1 in Winnipeg (and airplay across the country). After moving to the coast in ’91, George played in various blues groups before turning down his first request to join the Bruce James Orchestra. One more earnest plea from Bruce convinced George to pick up his upright and join his new Big Band. George is also a licensed Realtor and serves all areas in the lower mainland: http://georgegoodall.
Peter Wilmshurst: Drums
When not taking care of technical business at work, volunteering at his church or spending time with his family, Peter can be found playing drums around town. With decades of musical experience, Peter’s musicality as a drummer is notable. A regular percussionist with the Delta Concert Band, a revolving drum sub in various ensembles, and having held the drum chair in other local Big Bands, Peter is both nervous (but very excited) to join the ranks in the rhythm section of the Bruce James Orchestra.
